Exhibition of one exhibit. To the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident
Work schedule
daily, 10:00–18:00
Location
building number 3

The project introduces rarities from the Reserve’s collection, changing its focus every few months. To mark the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy, the exhibition presents two artifacts rescued by an art expedition in 1988 from the Chernobyl region: the icon “The Virgin Mary with the Child” from the 18th–19th centuries and a metal church bell from the 19th century. These objects are living evidence of the culture of the region, the development of which was interrupted by the disaster. The exhibition is complemented by a modern 3D model of the Chernobyl reactor with VR technologies, which allows for a deeper understanding of the scale of the man-made disaster.
