The Ostrogski Princes: The European Dimension of Ukrainian History

This exhibition is dedicated to members of a renowned Ukrainian noble family whose influence shaped the destiny of Eastern Europe in the 15th – 17th centuries. The exhibition features a collection of knightly armor, antique weapons, and early printed works from the Ostrog Printing House, including the famous 16th-century Bible, as well as a reproduction of the battle masterpiece “The Battle of Orsha.” Special attention is given to the figures of Fedir, Kostyantyn Ivanovych, and Vasyl-Kostyantyn Ostrozky, who contributed to the development of Ukrainian culture and statehood. The centerpiece of the exhibition is a model of the reconstructed tomb of Konstantin Ostrogski, the original of which adorned the Assumption Cathedral until its destruction in 1941.
