The exhibition dedicated to the 950th anniversary of the foundation of the Assumption Cathedral presents the history of the Great Church – the first stone temple of the Lavra, built and painted under the guidance of Byzantine masters in the 11th century. The exhibition presents authentic monuments of the Princely Age from the funds of the National Reserve: ancient plinths with drawings by builders, fragments of slabs with ornaments, smalt and votives, as well as a unique relief depicting the Virgin Oranta from the 15th century.
