You will learn how the millennia-old history of this outstanding Ukrainian shrine unfolded and visit ancient churches dating from the 12th to the 18th centuries. Although they were built in different architectural styles, together they form the unique ensemble of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
You will see the site of the spiritual feats of Ukrainian sages and saints, and hear about the outstanding statesmen and warriors under whose patronage the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra stood.
Route: Trinity Church, St. Nicholas Church and the exhibition “Frescoes of the Church of the Savior on Berestov,” the Assumption Cathedral and exhibition halls, the Refectory Church with the Chamber, and the Great Lavra Bell Tower.*
